Women Baking Lavash
Four women bake and sell lavash, the traditional Armenian bread. The large flatbread only takes minutes to cook inside the toner through the hot stones that are heated by a wood fire just below the stone floor. Served at virtually every meal, a torn piece of lavash is folded and placed on the table next to each place setting.
