Wishing Tree
Down miles of winding dirt roads, past streams and through wooded valleys lies the 12th century Haghartsin Monastery. The hillsides surrounding this secluded monastery are dotted with funerary shrines embedded with Katchk'ars, or cross stones. Passers-by often tie small shreds of cloth to particular trees to make a wish.
